Chapter 16 - Recovery Road Days 4 & 5

Day 4 - My mom is by my side CONSTANTLY. Dr. H has popped in multiple times and everything is going fairly well. I did ๐Ÿคฎ last night, so that wasn't fun, but not totally unexpected. The worse thing, however, is that I got a new roommate and this one has C.Diff (google it like Lisa just had to.) They are moving her, and disinfecting the room so they've moved me, my mom and my husband down to a waiting room while they sanitize the room top to bottom. #goodtimes ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Day 5 - Don't be fooled, these pink satin PJ's are different than the first pair...these have dandelion prints on them, doncha know! How dare you think I'd wear the same pair of silky PJ's on multiple days. Anyway...I've got incredible back pain, possibly from the abdominal incision, and perhaps from the mattress๐Ÿ‘Ž. There are no sleep-number beds here. Roomie #3 has pancreatites and receives a LOT of phone calls on her cell, but she is nice.

Day 5.5 - Word on the street is I'll be breaking out of this place tomorrow (2/19). I'm eating solids and doing all the things necessary to be discharged. Dr. H said it will be 9-10 days after surgery to receive the pathology reports. So, I have to wait for that to find out if I've begun my dance with NED. We're planning to leave the AirBNB to go back to PA on 2/24 ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž. Thanks so much for all the supportive notes, cards, texts, etc. They've meant a ton.
